Lifetime Quality Promise
At Destructive, we back our craft for the long term. The Lifetime Quality Promise is our assurance that your garments are made to last. It is not because defects are expected. It reflects our confidence in the materials, construction, and finish of every piece.
If a product develops a defect in materials or craftsmanship under normal use, we will replace it at no cost. If the original item is unavailable, we will issue a credit note for a comparable item. This cover applies for the practical life of the product.
Effective for orders placed on or after 1 July 2024. This promise is in addition to your statutory rights.
Definitions
- Normal use: Everyday conditions for which the product is designed.
- Normal wear points: Areas naturally subject to wear in regular use, such as cuffs, collars, hems, and pocket edges.
- Comparable item: A product of similar type, quality, and function to the original.
What we cover

Stitching and construction: Unravelling stitches, misaligned seams, or similar issues not caused by external factors.
Example: stitching on a cuff begins to unravel during normal wear. -
Hardware defects: Failure of zips, snaps, or buckles under normal use.
Example: a zip pull fails during everyday wear. -
Fabric integrity: Unexpected rips or tears at common stress points without an external cause.
Example: a tear along a seam during normal use. - Fabric composition failures: Premature thinning that is not the result of regular wear.
- Pilling and shrinkage: When pilling or shrinkage occurs despite following our care guide.
What we do not cover
- Normal wear and tear: Gradual fading, softening, and other natural changes over time.
- Improper care: Damage from not following the care guide, including colour bleed from incorrect washing.
- Accidental damage: External incidents such as snags, spills, or abrasion.
- Alterations and modifications: Issues arising from changes made by unauthorised parties.
How to make a claim
- Start a claim: contact us with details and photos of the issue.
- Return the item: Use our pre-paid return to send the product for inspection.
- Assessment and resolution: We assess within two working days of receipt. If covered, we replace the item or issue a credit note if the original is unavailable.
Updates to these terms
We may update these terms to address patterns of misuse. If we make changes, we will communicate them clearly. Retroactive application will only occur if needed to prevent abuse and will not remove valid cover.
